You have probably asked yourself this on a few dates I bet? You thought you were out with Prince Charming, only to realize, nope, it was just another frog, pretending to be a prince. Oh sure, he promised you the old, “Kiss me one time and I’ll turn into the man of your dreams” line and you might have even given him a kiss or two, just for good luck. Unfortunately, the man before you was not a prince. He treated you nothing like a princess should be treated and you were back at square one.

So, what happened to the fairy tale? It worked for the princess in the story easy enough. Why isn’t it working for you?

First things first, stop kissing so many frogs! You deserve so much better!

Seriously, you do! We often settled for the guy that is around. A frog! All because we don’t want to wait for the handsome prince that is in our future. We don’t realize a special someone could be just over the horizon. We continue to date and kiss frogs. Eventually we settle down with a frog and we are miserable. We continue to ask ourselves why we made this awful mistake. Or why didn’t our prince come. When the real truth is, we didn’t wait for him.

The song says, “Someday my prince will come…” so you have to be patient and wait for someday. In the meantime, work on yourself. Do things that you love to do. Take a cooking class, work on your fitness goals, try a music class or plant a garden. Things that will enrich your life for when your handsome guy arrives. That way, you will be ready for him.
