Weapons

She fractured her,

I fractured you.

Relationships

Come unglued.

Words are spoken,

Then tossed aside.

Angry people,

Run and hide.

Flinging around,

Their sticks and stones.

Words do hurt,

Like broken bones.

Except bones will heal,

And hearts may not.

So when your slinging,

Your careful shot…

Before your careless,

With your speech.

Hold your tongue,

See who’s in your reach.

Ask now yourself,

a simple question.

Will this encourage,

Or is it a weapon?
