It seems like these days I write a lot more poetry than blogs. It is easier to rhyme my words. I choose a topic and then go crazy for a few stanzas, make my point, and post it. Poetry is simple. Like falling in love. Blogs are harder, they are more like the day to day of a relationship. You have to truly think about what you want to say. There is a lot of work involved. It is not as easy, or is it?
What makes someone want to read the words of someone else?
Are you intrigued by what I am going to say?
What if I were going to tell you my deepest secrets? Or confess my sins?
What if I were going to tell you my struggles and fears? Or how I feel like a failure most days?
Would you want to know how I have survived life for all of these years? Or are you like me, wearing a mask on those days when your struggle seems to be winning.
Survival is what blogs are about, we talk about the things that make us stronger. We share our laughter and our tears. We relive moments of joy and sorry.
People may think their words don’t matter…but they do.
Words are what inspire and encourage others.
If you are a writer, keep sharing your message. Keep inspiring others.
