Working Out

Do you work out?

Everybody has their reasons why they do, 

The doctor said your heart needs the cardio

You want to lose that extra 10 pounds you gained in college

Ok, 30 pounds but whatever

Your reasons you do it are what motivate you to set the alarm

To drag your butt out of bed at 5:25 am or 8:30 am

Even when your pillow says “don’t leave me”

You resist…hitting snooze

Because you have to get that workout done

My husband and I go every week day to the gym

Every Monday we celebrate our workout with a date to Chick-fil-A

Progress has been slow but the other day

I was taking a shower

As I reached for the soap…BAM!

A bicep hit me in the face

WELL not literally, 

But it wasn’t there a few months ago

I of course jumped out of the shower and flexed in the mirror

Flexed To my husband

And flashed my guns for a while

The reasons you work out maybe to finally see those biceps 

That have been hiding for years

You might workout for your health

Some people do it for the high

Some do it for the energy it gives them

Guys do it for the ladies…

Its good to do it, no matter your reasons
