A lifetime of emotions,
wrapped in shades of gray.
silly little fairy tales,
she thought would come true someday.
The Handsome prince of strength,
with his faithful mighty steed.
would rescue her from danger,
at last the princess freed.
Freed from what you asked,
I really can’t be certain.
Free to find more misery,
at the hands of one who’s hurting.
Is the princess ever free,
or is the prince the one in need?
He seems to have more struggles,
His heart so deep it bleeds.
Trampled by the others,
who never truly cared.
He longed for love and honor,
but his castle still lays bare.
Til one day he found her,
a princess fair and free.
He asked her in his princely way,
will you belong to me?
With the flutter of his lashes,
and eyes so deep and true.
she gladly offered everything,
If he promised to be true.
Will the prince discover her,
What it takes to win this heart?
or will he let it slip away,
lest true love miss its start.
Wayward prince look lively,
Timid princess come in close.
Sometimes you have to seal the deal,
then try to make the most.
