Savior Of My Life

Here is a taste of a song I co-wrote with some friends called “Savior of My Life.” I added a rap, intending to have someone with some skill for that art rap with me. My friends in a ministry called Bangin 4 Jesus helped to make the rap incredible and then they added a second verse to the rap, making the song even better. We recorded a rough draft. There are plans to get this one in the studio soon and uploaded to Apple Music and Spotify. I thought I would give people a taste of what it will sound like. My husband is playing the piano on this recording.

We didn’t start the recording at the very beginning, so it misses the very start of the song.

The lyrics:

Verse

If I abide in your secret place

In your presence,

Under your wings

It’s where mercy dwells,

Where I find peace.

Chorus:

Lover of my soul,

Worthy of my praise,

Savior of my life

Savior of my life

Giver of my blessings,

Redeemer of everything

Savior of my life

Savior my life

Bridge:

Break my heart oh God,

For what breaks yours,

I want to love the world, like you.

Fill me with a passion, for your people God

To love them and help them

To find your truth.

Rap:

God I love your people

help me reach the lost

you help the broken

N never count the cost

help me show your church

how I found your truth

you wanna heal our scars

it’s what you came to do

I’m a shout from the rooftops

N tell the nations too

If their in prison

they should call on you

I’m ready for battle

Equip me of tha war

Bring transformation n

sharpen up my sword

A breakthrough fo ya people

Is a start of something new

Give us a new heart

So we can follow you
