Dream A Little Dream…Or A Big One!

I have been writing poetry and short stories since I was fourteen years old. My sister Lisa used to read some of my poems from those days about boys I was “in love with” and she would make fun of my rhyming. I have definitely tried to work on my skill since then, and also the topic of my writing. The love I have for telling a story has never left me. It has been fun to craft stories for my children and grandchildren over the years about various characters. My dream was always to write books, but it wasn’t until the end of the last year that I decided to stop dreaming and make my dreams happen. (check out my author website).

You might be wondering why I bother to tell you all of these things. Well, I know you have dreams inside of you. It might not be writing stories or poetry. You might like to sing or encourage people through speaking words into their lives. Maybe, you bake incredible desserts or meals and want to open a restuarant. Or, the dream of a coffee shop has been brewing in your mind for years. Don’t wait any longer. Do the research to find out how to make that first cup for your customer a reality.

When we sit on our dreams for to long, they become stagnant, just like the waters of a pond when it isn’t stirred. We were meant to be like a river, flowing always, moving with the ebb and flow of life. We work along with others, using our gifts to help each other. My gifts and skills help you with your gifts and skills and together, we can make the world a much better place. Take the coffee shop idea you are thinking of, I need to have a wonderful place to write my stories and study the Bible.

If you need someone to encourage you personally, I will sit with you to brainstorm your ideas. I love helping people find their passion and achieve their dreams.

I share a lot of my poetry from the past on my blog, because I want people to see my life wasn’t always rosy, there were moments of darkness. When I struggled, I failed and felt hopeless. I just refused to give up because the hope inside of me was too strong. I can tell you more about this too.
