Addiction

I’m fighting this addiction,

But I can’t lose my breath.

I know you’re going under,

But I keep moving one more step.

I know that I will make it to you,

If I keep walking the same way.

I’m never gonna lose you,

No matter the price I have to pay.

I’ll keep fighting every battle,

Like a soldier on the ground.

I won’t give you up this time,

On my knees, I’ll pray this down.

When I kneel just me and Jesus,

I know that He’s got your hand.

So no matter what you’re facing,

I’m rest assured He’s got a plan.

At night, I may be going crazy,

Worried about where you are.

But I know my Savior’s got you,

And He won’t let you get that far.

So if you’re ever feeling broken,

And you’re so tired of the fight.

And you’re ready to surrender,

Please know your mom’s here tonight.

She loves you with the greatest love,

And she doesn’t come alone.

When you’re ready for a rescue,

Her best friends’ coming from His throne.

I know you struggle, that you’re not worthy,

How can He love what you’ve been through.

He can’t wait to hold you closer,

We’re both waiting on a call from you.
