She waits and she’s hoping her dad will just say, “Please little angel dance with me today” but she ends every evening with a tear in her eye, because he never seems to notice. She tries to engage him with hopes and her dreams but he’s always busy with work it does seem. But she still hopes her daddy will want to come dancing.
Please daddy please, I’m your Cinderella, don’t you even see I’m here today, soon the years will be passing, and I’ll be gone
She’s now a young woman but inside still a girl. She hides behind laughter. Her life spinning and whirls. She needs her daddy, but he still doesn’t come. So, she sits alone by the window. Watching and waiting, hoping he might come by as he promised. He never does.
Thinking, “Please daddy please, I’m your Cinderella. Don’t you even see I’m here today? I need you to be here by my side? Soon the years will be passing, and I’ll be gone.
Our lonely young princess, now she cries out “I’m not your Cinderella, I’ve stopped hoping that you’ll rescue me. I can’t wait for your love the years have been passing and now I’m gone.”
Cinderella is broken and very few people know why. Behind masks of laughter, she hides tears.
There are only moments in time you will have to dance with your little girl, before Cinderella will leave the castle. Dance with her while she is still there. Don’t let her go before she knows she is your world. You only have a few moments in life that matter. Make them count.
