Dirty Laundry

Some will hang it on the line,

Others pretend that theirs is fine.

I won’t bother yours if you ignore mine,

Dirty Laundry.

Bogus friends who feign your best,

Family leaving you like the rest.

I’m better off if I protect my mess,

Dirty Laundry.

Broken lives in disarray,

A little girl, nothing left to say.

She thought they loved her, they went away,

Dirty Laundry.

The piles of life have gotten old,

The stench of memories dark and cold.

Buried shame and hurt come bold,

Dirty Laundry.

Wash me clean of all I see,

Make the nightmares finally flee.

No more memories haunting me,

No more Dirty Laundry!
